Copyright and License

Authors who publish with the Journal of Study and Innovation in Education and Development (JSIED) retain full copyright to their work. To ensure the broadest dissemination of research, all articles are published under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International (CC BY-NC 4.0) license.

Key Points of the License:

  • Attribution: Authors and original sources must be credited appropriately when their work is reused.
  • Non-Commercial: The content may not be used for commercial purposes.
  • Adaptation: Others may remix, transform, and build upon the work, but their contributions must also be non-commercial.

This licensing model supports the free and open exchange of ideas while protecting the authors’ rights over their original research. Authors are encouraged to share their work with peers and the public, knowing that their contributions will be attributed correctly and will not be used for profit.

Consequences of Plagiarism:

  • Minor Plagiarism: Instances where minor text overlap is detected may lead to a request for revision and proper citation of sources.
  • Major Plagiarism: Significant text duplication without proper attribution will result in immediate rejection of the manuscript and a potential ban on future submissions from the authors involved.

Authors are encouraged to ensure that their submissions are original and properly referenced. The journal reserves the right to take appropriate actions in cases of plagiarism, including contacting the authors’ institutions or taking legal action if necessary.

Article Processing Charges (APCs)

The Journal of Study and Innovation in Education and Development (JSIED) operates on a sustainable funding model, which requires authors to contribute to the costs associated with the publication of their work. To this end, a nominal Article Processing Charge (APC) of 15,000,000 Rials (1,500,000 Tomans) is levied for each accepted manuscript. This fee is intended to cover the expenses related to the editorial process, peer review, typesetting, and hosting services that ensure the highest standards of publication.

This APC is applied only after a manuscript has successfully passed through the peer-review process and has been accepted for publication. We believe that this fee is fair and necessary to maintain the quality and accessibility of the journal while enabling us to continue providing open access to our content.

Despite the APC, we remain committed to supporting authors from diverse economic backgrounds. Authors who are unable to afford the APC may apply for a waiver or reduction, particularly those from low-income countries or institutions with limited funding. Waiver requests are considered on a case-by-case basis, and we strive to ensure that financial barriers do not prevent the publication of valuable research

Peer-Review Process

The peer-review process is a cornerstone of the Journal of Study and Innovation in Education and Development (JSIED), ensuring the academic rigor and credibility of the research we publish. Our journal employs a double-blind anonymous peer-review process, in which the identities of both the authors and the reviewers are concealed.

Peer-Review Process Overview:

  1. Initial Submission and Screening: Upon submission, manuscripts undergo an initial screening by the editorial team to ensure they meet the journal’s scope, standards, and formatting guidelines.

  2. Plagiarism Check: Manuscripts are checked for originality using iThenticate software to detect any instances of plagiarism.

  3. Assignment of Reviewers: Each manuscript is assigned to two or three expert reviewers who possess relevant expertise in the manuscript’s subject area.

  4. Review Process: Reviewers independently evaluate the manuscript’s originality, methodology, significance, and clarity. They provide detailed feedback and recommend one of the following outcomes: acceptance, minor revisions, major revisions, or rejection.

  5. Editorial Decision: The editorial team considers the reviewers’ recommendations and makes the final decision. Authors are notified of the decision along with the reviewers’ feedback.

  6. Revisions and Resubmission: If revisions are required, authors are given the opportunity to revise their manuscript in response to the reviewers’ comments. Revised manuscripts may undergo additional rounds of review.

  7. Final Decision and Publication: Once the manuscript meets the reviewers’ and editors’ standards, it is accepted for publication and scheduled for release in an upcoming issue.

The entire process is designed to be thorough, transparent, and fair, ensuring that only high-quality research is published in JSIED.
