Abstract

The present study aims to analyze and examine the concept of lifestyle from the perspective of scholars. The term "lifestyle" encompasses various definitions, dimensions, indicators, and manifestations. Numerous thinkers, each aligned with their own approach and viewpoint, have developed theories on the subject. This research seeks to present the views of seven major theorists in this field. The results of the analysis indicate that lifestyle theories—from the economic and social analyses of Veblen and Weber to the cultural and identity-based perspectives of Bourdieu and Giddens—demonstrate the significance of this concept in explaining individual and social behaviors. Lifestyle is not only a tool for expressing identity and social distinction, but in modern societies, it has also become a key factor in shaping personal and group identities.
