Analysis of the Reconstruction of Educational Concepts for Children of the 1980s and 1990s with an Emphasis on Rumi's Masnavi
Abstract
The primary objective of this study was to analyze the reconstruction of educational concepts for children of the 1980s and 1990s with an emphasis on Rumi's Masnavi. This research employed a descriptive-analytical method and was applied in nature. To collect data, library and documentary methods were utilized. The statistical population of the study comprised rewritten and reconstructed stories from the classical Persian poetic text "The Beautiful Stories of the Masnavi Ma'navi" by Mostafa Hassanzadeh for children of the 1980s and 1990s. The results indicated that the book Masnavi Ma'navi begins with 18 verses of the "Neynameh," which Hassanzadeh avoided including in his rewritings. Hassanzadeh begins his stories with phrases such as "In very ancient times," "In past times," "Once upon a time," and similar expressions suitable for a teenage audience. At the end of the stories, the author directly conveys the message of the story under a separate heading titled "Message of the Story," without any interference or presence within the narrative. In fact, it can be stated that the author did not alter elements such as the characters, point of view, plot and core, dialogue style, tone, conflict resolution, and resolution strategies, and it appears that the author adhered to the principles of rewriting (maintaining the elements of the original story unchanged) and solely engaged in the rewriting of the stories.
