The Impact of Experiential Learning on the Development of Practical Skills in Internships

This article explores the impact of experiential learning on the development of practical skills in internship settings. Utilizing a descriptive analysis method, the study synthesizes findings from various scholarly sources to examine how hands-on experience contributes to skill enhancement in real-world environments. The results indicate that experiential learning significantly improves technical and soft skills, such as problem-solving, teamwork, and critical thinking. Furthermore, the quality and structure of internship programs are identified as critical factors influencing the effectiveness of experiential learning. The study’s findings align with previous research while also highlighting the need for well-structured and supported internship programs to maximize learning outcomes. The research suggests that combining experiential learning with traditional educational methods offers a comprehensive approach to skill development. Recommendations for future research include exploring the role of structured internship programs in various fields and further examining the impact of experiential learning on soft skills.
